We Found Each Other Again

We were each other’s first everything — first love, first heartbreak, first goodbye.
Back then, we were young. We didn’t understand what love truly meant.
We argued over small things, let ego win over emotions, and slowly drifted apart.
What we had was real… but we didn’t know how to protect it.
Years passed.
Life took us in different directions. New cities, new people, new experiences.
But somehow, in the quiet moments, I would still think about him.
One day, out of nowhere, I saw his name pop up on my phone.
“Hey… it’s been a long time.”
My heart skipped a beat.
We started talking again — slowly, carefully, like two people walking on memories.
But this time, things felt different. We had grown. We had learned.
We understood what we lost… and why it mattered.
There were no rushed emotions, no unrealistic promises.
Just honesty, patience, and a genuine effort to make things right.
When we met again, it didn’t feel like starting over.
It felt like continuing a story that was always meant to be finished.
This time, we chose each other — not out of habit, but with clarity.
Because sometimes, love deserves a second chance.
And when it’s real, it finds its way back.
